How long does moving off Excel take?

Can we keep using the spreadsheets during the transition?
Yes — we plan for it. Excel runs in parallel while each area moves across, and a file is only retired once Odoo has matched it through a full cycle. Nothing gets switched off on faith.
Our data is a mess. Is that a problem?
It is normal, and it is exactly why we import in validated batches. Duplicates, inconsistent names and dead records get cleaned in a staging pass, and you approve each batch before it becomes the system of record. Messy data is a task in the plan, not a reason to delay starting.
